The College of Engineering & Computational Sciences will join forces with the College of Natural Sciences to form a single, unified college dedicated to excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

The Power of Coming Together

This strategic merger is an investment in the future, bringing together strengths for interdisciplinary collaboration in:

  • Geosciences
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Computer Science
  • Mathematics
  • Engineering

Benefits for Students and Faculty

  • Stronger academic programs that reflect the realities of today’s interconnected STEM fields
  • Enhanced instructional support in high-demand areas
  • More balanced enrollment across colleges and schools
  • Greater efficiency in how we use our resources

What to Expect

The transition will take place over the 2025–26 academic year, as we thoughtfully incorporate the best elements of both colleges. Our goal is to define a bold new vision—shaped by our students, faculty, and staff—for what this new college can become.
